The answer is a resounding no, and queer fans have to look no further than the character of Tiger, who was, in truth, the first confirmed LGBTQ character in My Hero Academia. Tiger, whose real name is Yawara Chotaro, is a trans man who is part of the hero team of the Wild Wild Pussycats.

Shonen manga, typical written with a target audience of males age 12 - 18, historically have had very little LGBTQ +. In recent years this trend has begun to shift, larger and more notable series.

Regular readers will know of my fondness for this particular franchise , being one of the few animes that I follow religiously, and the fewer still of which I have read the manga for, such is my adoration for this I. And this is the character that has supposedly come out as bi-sexual, understandably upsetting fans.
